First responders rushed one person to the emergency room and a parent took their child to the hospital as well, after a school bus and car collided in north Charlotte early Thursday morning. MEDIC told Channel 9 that the driver of the SUV that was involved in the crash was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with minor injuries following the accident on Reagan Drive around 7:45 a.m. CMS officials said the school bus was headed to Briarwood Elementary. A parent took a student that was on the bus to the hospital to be evaluated. Both the school bus and the SUV received heavy damage in the wreck.
