Memphis, TN : Two killed in separate crashes in Memphis on Tuesday, 23rd August, 2016

Memphis police were investigating two separate fatal crashes just minutes apart Tuesday night, officials said.

The first call came in about 8:32 p.m. from Shelby Drive and Getwell in Southeast Memphis, police said. Two vehicles were involved, and one of those drivers was killed.

Then, about a minute later, another call came in from Millbranch and Winchester in Whitehaven involving either a moped or a motorcycle, police said. One man was pronounced dead in that accident; it was unclear late Tuesday whether that person was on the bike.
