Woman critical after ejection crash on rural road

A woman remains in critical condition after being flown to the hospital from a crash that may involve alcohol.

The Ohio Highway Patrol continues to investigate what happened in the single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning at Ohio 726, just west of U.S. 127.

Samantha B. Hall, 42, of Somerville, was listed in critical condition at Miami Valley Hospital late Sunday afternoon. Authorities said Hall was driving her 2006 Chevrolet Malibu southeast on Ohio 726 when she went off the right side of the road and overturned, striking a utility pole, telephone junction box and a large rock along the way.

Hall was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to OSP.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. Authorities said the victim was seen at a bar in Eldorado earlier that night.

Eaton emergency crews responded and helped with providing initial medical care before CareFlight transported her to the hospital.
