DARIEN, NY : State police identify man killed in construction accident this morning on Friday, 26th August, 2016

State troopers have identified a man killed earlier this morning following a construction accident.
Around 5:30 a.m. today, Aaron Wellman, 40, was operating a pavement roller onto a trailer when he lost control and the roller flipped over off the trailer.
Troopers say Wellman was unresponsive at the scene of the accident and was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The accident took place on Broadway Road in the Town of Darien.
The exact cause of death is unknown at this time and an autopsy is being done. Troopers say foul play is not a factor right now.
The investigation is still open and ongoing
