Police say a Pennsylvania man crashed his car into a backyard swimming pool of a Long Island home and was pulled to safety by the homeowner. Suffolk County police say Jon Bacchi of Commack was working on his house shortly before 4 p.m. Monday when the car went in the pool. Police say Bacchi jumped in the water and pulled out the 79-year-old driver. Joseph DiDonato of Yorkville, Pennsylvania, was taken to a hospital for evaluation. He was listed in stabled condition. Police say DiDonato was driving through the parking lot of Mayfair Foot Care when he apparently pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake. They say the SUV broke through a fence into Bacchi's backyard and landed in the deep end of the in-ground pool. Source : PA man crashes car into in-ground pool on Long Island, saved by homeowner
