MAT-SU VALLEY, AK : Victim of fatal car crash wanted to play for the Chicago Cubs on Thursday, October 5, 2017

Noah Meyer, the 11-year-old victim of Thursday's fatal car crash, loved baseball, fishing and hunting.

"He wanted to play for the Cubs one day. He was lucky enough to have attended a Cubs game back in August with his grandfather, Mark Meyer," writes Noah's mother, Heather Meyer.

Heather says Noah was a 6th grader at Wasilla Lake Christian School. "He was loved by all and full of life," said Meyer.

Alaska State Troopers officially identified Noah Meyer after Wednesday's fatal crash.

Troopers say it is unknown whether Noah was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, Heather said everyone inside the vehicle, including Noah were wearing seat belts.
