Memphis, TN : Two people were killed in a crash at Lamar Avenue and Pleasant Hill Road On Thursday, August 18th, 2016

Two people are dead after a crash at Lamar Avenue and Pleasant Hill Road.

Police said the crash happened just after 10 p.m. Thursday.

Investigators said a Chevrolet Camaro was driving down Lamar Ave. when it collided with a Volvo semi-truck.

Officers said the driver, 28-year-old Toney Jones, and the passenger, 25-year-old Cordaryl Jones, of the Camaro were taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition. Both later died from their injuries.

Police did not say if the driver of the semi-truck had any injuries.
