Lake Havasu City, AZ : Calif. man injured after crash near Willow Beach on Monday, August 1, 2016

A California man was injured after he was ejected from a vehicle in a crash on Temple Bar Road near Willow Beach.

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Department said deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident just before 7 a.m. on Monday. That’s where they found Deshawn Dugger, 24, of Rancho Cucamonga, California, laying about 50 feet from a vehicle. Investigations determined the vehicle was traveling west on Temple Bar Road toward Highway 93, when it entered the opposing lane. The driver over-corrected and slid off the right side of the roadway and into a raised embankment, the sheriff’s department said.

Dugger was struggling to breath and was suffering from internal injuries and visible head trauma, the sheriff’s department said. Firefighters with the Lake Mohave Ranch Fire Department treated him on scene, and he was later flown to a University Medical Center in Law Vegas. The sheriff’s department said deputies believe Dugger was speeding and he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. His condition wasn’t immediately available.
