Emporia, KS : A one-vehicle accident between Emporia and Allen on Wednesday, October 4, 2017

Emergency crews responded to a one-vehicle accident between Emporia and Allen Wednesday afternoon.

At about 2:35 p.m., scanner traffic indicated an injury accident near the intersection of Road 280 and Road L, about six-and-a-half miles south of Allen. Dispatchers indicated a maroon Chevrolet Suburban left the roadway and came to rest in a field. The driver was reported to be breathing and alert.

The location was later corrected to Road 280 and N. Kansas Highway 99, about four miles east of where it was originally reported.
