Albany, OR : Two from Harrisburg die in auto crash on Thursday, 25th August, 2016

Two people from Harrisburg died in a three-vehicle collision Thursday morning on Highway 99W, two miles north of Eugene.

Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to the accident.

According to the OSP investigation, Tandra L. Schatz , 43, of Harrisburg, was stopped at the light in her 2014 Dodge Charger on Highway 99W and Clear Lake Road when Steven E. Skinner, 62, driving a 2014 Hyundai Veloster with Annette M. Skinner, 56, both of Harrisburg, were struck from behind by Ralph E. Gordon, 88, of Cheshire, driving a 2002 Toyota Camry, sending the Veloster, into the rear-end of the Charger.

Steven and Annette Skinner were pronounced dead at the scene. Schatz and Gordon were injured and transported to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield for medical treatment.

Highway 99W southbound lanes, one northbound lane and Clear Lake Road were closed for three hours. Oregon Department of Transportation and Lane County Fire Authority assisted OSP. The investigation is ongoing.
