Fort Walton Beach, FL : Teen in serious condition after a Santa Rosa car-cycle crash on Monday, August 15, 2016

A crash involving a SUV and motorcycle has left a teen hospitalized in serious condition, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

At 5:10 p.m. Monday, 73-year-old Malcolm Parker of Pensacola was turning his 2011 Nissan Pathfinder into a driveway at a residence on Chumuckla Highway in northern Santa Rosa County.

As Parker was making the turn, though, he ventured directly into the path of a 2009 Kawasaki driven by 18-year-old Nicholas F. Musser of Lynn Haven.

Musser's cycle struck the Pathfinder in the right side. He was life-flighted by medical helicopter to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola in serious condition.

Parker was charged with making an improper left turn.
