SPRINGFIELD, IL : Driver taken to hospital following rollover crash near 487 East Columbus Ave., Capt. Brian Tetreault on Tuesday, 20th August 2019

The driver of an SUV was taken to the hospital following a rollover on East Columbus Avenue Tuesday morning.

The crash, which also involved a van, occurred about 9 a.m. near 487 East Columbus Ave., Capt. Brian Tetreault, spokesman for the Springfield Fire Department, said.

The driver, behind the wheel of a Jeep Compass, was able to get out of the vehicle without being extricated. The nature of the driver’s injuries was not available.
