CHELMSFORD, MA : Pedestrian seriously injured in Chelmsford crash at Brian Road on Friday, 14th December 2018

A 70-year-old Chelmsford man who appears to have been walking in a crosswalk on Boston Road at Brian Road Friday evening was flown to a Boston trauma center after he was struck by an SUV, according to police.
Emergency crews were called to the area about 5:15 p.m., and found the 70-year-old down in the road with serious injuries, according to a press release.
Fire Department radio broadcasts said the man was initially unconscious, but that he regained consciousness before being taken from the scene to a field at the nearby South Row School.
A MedFlight helicopter landed at the school and flew the man from there to an undisclosed Boston trauma center, according to a press release.
