Delaware State Police are investigating a car crash that left two people injured after a parked vehicle was pushed into a food truck.

Police say the incident happened Thursday afternoon when a man driving a SUV in Georgetown failed to make a sharp left turn.

The SUV struck a parked car in the parking lot of Donovan’s Salvage and also hit a male pedestrian. Police say the parked vehicle was pushed into a food truck that was also parked in the parking lot, injuring a female employee inside.

The SUV driver fled the scene, but was later found and arrested.

The two victims were taken to the hospital. Both are in stable condition.

Police say alcohol is suspected as a contributing cause of this crash, and that charges are forthcoming.
