NEWARK, NJ : Young man dies in fiery crash during police chase on April, Monday 3rd 2017

Authorities say a young man died in a fiery crash during a police chase in New Jersey's largest city.

Authorities say 18-year-old Shakur Loyal of East Orange was driving a stolen car when Newark police officers tried to pull him over early Monday.

Officials say Loyal lost control of the vehicle, hit two parked cars and sheered a utility pole. The vehicle caught fire.

The crash is under investigation.
