WEST VALLEY CITY, UT : 76-year-old man killed in rollover crash on Redwood Road; traffic snarled in both directions on Sunday, 31st March 2019

Police have identified a man who was killed in a rollover crash at 3696 South Redwood Road in West Valley City Sunday.

The West Valley City Police Department has identified the victim as 76-year-old Richard Alan Learned from Sandy.

His SUV was involved in an accident with a passenger car. Police said Learned was partially ejected from his SUV and later died on scene.

The driver of the passenger car suffered a minor head injury, police said he declined medical attention.

As of 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Redwood Road remained closed to all traffic from 3500 South to 3800 South as police investigated.
