One man dead in single vehicle crash Near Cullman Alabama

A Lacey’s Spring man was killed on Interstate 65 early Sunday morning in a single vehicle crash in Cullman County.David Daryl Taylor, 24, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet that reportedly ran off the road around exit 303 at 4:10 a.m. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Taylor died of trauma related to the crash, and was pronounced dead at the scene by Cullman County Coroner Steve Rodgers.

“It looked like he may have fallen asleep and run off the road,” Rodgers said.Passenger Joshua Russell, 28, also of Lacey’s Spring was injured in the accident. Russell was wearing a seatbelt.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
