A Huntington man died at a local hospital today, Nov. 16, from injuries he sustained in a single-vehicle crash in the 1800 block of Washington Boulevard.
Huntington Police officers responded to a report of a vehicle crash at approximately 10:41 a.m. today. The crash involved a single vehicle that left the roadway on Washington Boulevard and ended up in Fourpole Creek.
An engine company and rescue company with the Huntington Fire Department extricated the victim from the vehicle and provided medical aid until Cabell County EMS arrived on scene.
The lone occupant of vehicle, William “Bart” Andrews, 80, was transported by Cabell County EMS to Cabell Huntington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
