Livonia, MI : Southbound I-275 closed at 8 Mile Road due to crashes on May 14th 2014

The southbound side of Interstate 275 is shut down at 8 Mile Road due to two separate crashes involving semi trucks.

All traffic heading south on I-275 is being directed off at 8 Mile Road. Traffic is backed up to westbound Interstate 696.

Michigan State Police say there were two separate crashes on I-275.

A car was pinned under a semi truck trailer. At least one other semi truck and two other vehicles also were involved in a crash.

There were no serious injuries in either crash, said state police.
