JACKSON COUNTY, FL : Motorcyclist critical after Jackson County crash on Sunday, October, 29th 2017

A man Florida Highway Patrol says was traveling too fast on his Harley Davidson motorcycle is in critical condition after wrecking on the exit ramp of I-10 Sunday morning.

Victor Gentry, 53, of Buchanan, Georgia, was riding his motorcycle in the right lane of the eastbound exit ramp off I-10 in Jackson County when he collided with the guardrail face, according to FHP reports. Gentry was thrown off the bike and landed in the eastbound lane, while his bike continued to travel down the exit ramp and across a grass median, crossing the entrance ramp of State Road 8 before coming to a rest in a ditch.

Gentry was taken to Southeast Medical Center. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the wreck, but will be cited for driving too fast for the conditions, according to FHP.
