Saint Cloud,MN : Richmond teen injured in crash near Rockville on January, Thursday 11th 2018

A Richmond woman was injured in a crash south of Rockville Thursday morning.

Morgan Hemmesch, 18, was driving on Stearns County Road 8, near 210th Street and Grand Lake, at about 6:15 a.m.

She lost control of her vehicle and drove off the road into the ditch. She hit several trees before coming to a stop. A passerby called in to report the incident.

At the time, the road had a coating of snow and was slippery. Hemmesch was also in the process of negotiating a slight curve.

Hemmesch had to be extricated from her vehicle by the Rockville Fire Department.

She was transported to St. Cloud Hospital for injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.
