Connecticut State Police say two people are dead after a three-car crash on Interstate 95.
that 28-year-old Katerina Barrett, of Greenville, South Carolina, was ejected from her car early Monday morning after striking a tractor-trailer she was attempting to pass on the highway in East Lyme.
Police say Barrett was taken to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital where she died.
Barrett's car also struck a vehicle being driven by 72-year-old Kenneth Graves of Providence, Rhode Island.
His passenger, 69-year-old Marie L. Graves, also of Providence, died at the scene.
Kenneth Graves was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured.
