Franklin,TN : Nashville woman killed in Williamson County crash on October, Friday 20th 2017

One person was killed in a one-car crash on Highway 96 east of Franklin early Friday morning.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Carolyn Craighead, 20, of Nashville, died in the crash that occurred around 3 a.m. near 4370 Highway 96.

Troopers said Craighead was traveling westbound on Highway 96 when she ran off the right side of the road and struck an embankment, causing the Honda HRV she was driving to go airborne and roll. The car came to a rest on the north side of the roadway.

According to the preliminary incident report, Craighead was wearing a seatbelt.
