Deadwood, SD : Pedestrian man was struck and died by a pickup truck while walking across U.S. Highway 14A on Wednesday night August 13th 2014

A Lead man was struck and killed by a pickup truck while walking across U.S. Highway 14A in Deadwood. The Highway Patrol says 51-year-old Donald Spurling died about 9 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities say Spurling was not in a crosswalk when he was struck by the pickup driven by an 83-year-old Rapid City man. Neither of the two people in the pickup was hurt.
