Hilton Head, SC : U.S. 278 crash leaves three injured on Thursday, 11th August, 2016

A crash reported around 9 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of U.S. 278 and Plantation Park Drive left three injured - one seriously.
According to Joy Nelson, spokesperson of the Bluffton Police Department, the crash involved two vehicles. When officers arrived, they found one vehicle in the median and the other on the right shoulder of 278.
The driver and passenger in the vehicle on the shoulder were taken to a nearby hospital.
The second driver was alone in the vehicle in the median, and was flown to a hospital, Nelson said Friday morning.
The westbound lanes on 278 at Pennington Drive were closed from the time of the crash until about 11:30 p.m..
