Austin, TX : Dropkick Murphys tour bus involved in fatal crash on Sunday night, November 16, 2014

The Dropkick Murphys had to cancel a Sunday night show in Tulsa, Oklahoma after their tour bus struck and killed a pedestrian. A statement on the band's Facebook page said that the bus was driving from a show in San Antonio and was passing near Austin, Texas when a pedestrian "ran onto the highway." The statement goes on to say that the driver was too shaken up and the bus was too damaged to continue. "As much as it pains us to miss a show and we truly apologize for it, we'd like to stop and acknowledge that a man has lost his life. Please keep him and any family he might have in your prayers," it said. All tickets were expected to be refunded. The support acts for the Dropkick Murphys, Bryan McPherson and Blood or Whiskey, played a free show in Tulsa. The band is expected to continue their tour in Mexico City later this week.
