A person was seriously injured Wednesday night in Leominster after a car crash with a Massachusetts State Police trooper who was responding to help officers in their pursuit of a suspected criminal, authorities said.
The crash occurred on Route 12 shortly before midnight. A female occupant of a Ford Focus was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester with serious injuries. The trooper involved in the collision was treated at Leominster Hospital for minor injuries, state police said in a statement
