Topeka, KS : A woman died following a two-vehicle crash in Manhattan on Saturday, July 1, 2017

A woman died Saturday following a two-vehicle crash in Manhattan.

Gayla Fief, 53, of Manhattan, was extricated from her vehicle and transported by Lifestar to Stormont Vail where she succumbed to her injuries, according to a news release from the Riley County Police Department.

The crash was reported at 12:13 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Seth Child Road and Tuttle Creek Blvd.

Fief, who had been driving a blue 2009 Toyota Camry, was struck by a black 2006 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Romelia Sutton, 52, of Marysville. Sutton and passenger Jazmin Vera-Galvan, 39, of Marysville, were transported by ambulance to Via Christi for their injuries.

RCPD officers determined that Fief pulled out in front of Sutton, who didn’t have time to avoid a collision.
