Leominster, MA : Nine people hurt after four-vehicle crash in Leominster on Sunday afternoon, August 10, 2014

A four-vehicle accident in Leominster on Sunday afternoon left several people injured and a good portion of Lancaster Street closed. Three cars and an SUV were totaled in the area of 638 Lancaster St. in the accident which occurred just before 4:30 p.m. Leominster Deputy Fire Chief Dan Kirouac confirmed all nine people involved in the crash were transported by ambulance. One was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester with serious injuries and what Kirouac said could be "potentially life-threatening." The Leominster Police Department, Fire Department, and Massachusetts State Police were on the scene. No official word on the cause of the accident was immediately available.
