Jasper, TX : Buna man strikes tree, dies in Jasper County crash on Tuesday, January 24, 2017

A 62-year-old Buna man died Tuesday after his car struck a tree in Jasper County, the Texas Department of Public Safety said in a release.

The crash happened at around 9:30 a.m. near mile marker 764 on FM 253, Sgt. Stephanie Davis said.
Thurman Lee Peveto, who was driving a Ford Mustang, traveled off the roadway for an unknown reason and hit a tree, Davis said.
