Racine, WI : Motorcyclist hospitalized after collision on Wednesday August 31, 2016

A motorcyclist suffered what authorities described as non-life-threatening injuries Wednesday afternoon when he reportedly collided with a car.

Police were called to the intersection of Washington Avenue and Oakes Road at about 4:10 p.m. for a report of a motorcycle crash.

The driver of the motorcycle, who apparent was not wearing a helmet, was transported by South Shore Fire Department personnel to Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints hospital with a head injury, Mount Pleasant Police said.

According to police, the motorcycle, headed north on Oakes Road, was turning west onto Washington Avenue when it struck a car that was traveling south on Oakes Road.
