Indianapolis,IN : Woman killed in head-on collision on Boyd on July, Friday 21th 2017

A 29-year-old Michigan City woman was killed Friday in a head-on collision involving a semitrailer on Boyd Boulevard just south of East Jefferson Avenue, officials said.
Dana Deeb was killed instantly from blunt force trauma, according to La Porte County Coroner Bob Cutler.

Investigators were still investigating the cause of the crash, but initial reports indicated Deeb's car, traveling south in the 700 block of Boyd, crossed the centerline and collided with a truck leaving Lewis Bakeries.
City police were investigating the crash. Crash re-enactment specialists with the La Porte County Sheriff's Department were assisting in the investigation, Cutler said.
It was still unclear why the car crossed the centerline. The road curves around the bakery near the scene of the crash.
Paramedics who rushed to the scene at 3:24 p.m. said the truck had just pulled out of the bakery and was not up to speed, but the impact was severe, according to La Porte County Emergency Medical Services spokesman Buddy Kasinger, who spoke with those who responded.
The woman was dead when paramedics arrived, Kasinger said.
