MENOMONIE, WI : Victim identified in Interstate 94 crash on Tuesday, January 31st 2017

A pickup truck hauling a gooseneck trailer jackknifed on Interstate 94 near Menomonie Tuesday evening, killing the driver and obstructing traffic in the westbound lanes for more than an hour.
The victim, Clint E. Huff, 36, of Franklin, Ky., was pinned in the wreckage and died at the scene.

The pickup truck was hauling a trailer that was loaded with industrial fans. Huff was traveling in the right westbound lane near mile marker 43 and began to lose control. The truck and trailer jackknifed, continued to slide down I-94, struck a semitrailer truck and came to rest in the right ditch near the rest area ramp with the trailer landing on top of the truck.
Huff was pinned in the vehicle and didn’t survive the crash. The driver of the semi, Laurence R. Hartl, 67, of Naperville, Ill., wasn’t injured.
State Patrol troopers responded to the crash at about 9:11 p.m. The westbound lanes were closed for more than an hour, and the scene was not completely cleared until after 11 p.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
