DARIEN, WI : One man was killed in a trailer accident on April, Saturday 22nd 2017

One man was killed in a trailer accident on Highway 14 at 6:07 p.m. Saturday.

Austin Fehrm, 30, of Darien, was walking along the highway when he was struck by a trailer being pulled by a truck, according to a Walworth County Sheriff's office news release.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Highway 14 and Town Line Road in Darien, according to the news release.

The driver was 51-year-old Brian Gunnink, also of Darien.

The trailer was hauling anhydrous ammonia for agricultural purposes.

Fehrm was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:43 p.m. Saturday. The crash remains under investigation by the Walworth County Sheriff and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
