Batavia, NY : Pavilion man dies in Bethany accident on Monday evening, August 1, 2016

Robert L. Williams, 67, of Pavilion was killed in Monday evening’s car versus farm tractor-trailer accident in the Town of Bethany, according to an updated press release from the New York State Police.

The accident occurred around 5:10 p.m. Monday, when Arnold D. Duck, 83, of Attica, was driving a 1989 Mack Tractor Trailer south on State Highway 63. Police state that he made a left turn in front of an oncoming 2014 Chevrolet car, driven by Williams. The car impacted with the passenger side of the tractor-trailer.

“Williams was pronounced deceased at the scene and taken to United Memorial Medical Center,” police stated in the press release.

The accident was investigated by the Collision Reconstruction Unit and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit, and police stated that it is still an open, ongoing investigation.
