Joplin,MO : Three people injured in area wrecks on July, Saturday 15th 2017

Two people suffered moderate injuries in a one-car accident at 12:43 p.m. Saturday, 2 miles south of Joplin on Castle Drive in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Bradley S. Kennedy, 21, of Joplin was westbound when he ran off the right side of the road on a curve and struck a tree, the patrol reported.

Two passengers, Jeffrey P. Hickman, 66, and Seth M. Hlusko, 34, both of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Joplin. Kennedy was not listed as injured.

• One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:03 p.m. Friday on Missouri Highway 171, 1 mile south of Asbury, according to the patrol.

Lesley Bonine, 45, of Weir, Kansas, was northbound when he struck the rear of another northbound vehicle driven by Deana Duncan, 55, also of Weir, the patrol reported.
