Dixon, CA : Three people injured after a multiple-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 west of Dixon Avenue Saturday, August 20, 2016

Authorities are searching for the driver of a car that caused a multiple-vehicle crash Saturday that landed three people in the hospital.

California Highway Patrol officers responded shortly after 7:15 p.m. to the scene of a traffic collision involving several vehicles on eastbound Interstate 80 west of Dixon Avenue.

Two of the vehicles flipped several times off the roadway, the CHP said in a release about the crash. Those who were hurt were transported to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center with injuries that ranged from minor to major.

The vehicle responsible for the crash fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers and was last seen continuing eastbound on Interstate 80. The license plate as well as the front bumper to the vehicle were left at the scene. The fleeing vehicle is described as a gray 2013 Honda Civic four door with a California license plate number of 7GHA464.
