Smithfield, R.I : Man crashes car through RIPTA bus stop on Monday afternoon, August 29, 2016

A RIPTA bus stop was destroyed Monday afternoon after a suspected drunk driver drove right into it.

The bus depot is on High St and Waterman Ave in Smithfield.

Police said the driver did not go to the hospital, but instead was immediately arrested for a suspected DUI.

No one at the bus stop was injured.
