A New Hampshire man was injured in a car crash on Interstate 91 South on Friday, according to the Vermont State Police.
Thomas Bueb, 71, of Lancaster, New Hampshire, suffered broken bones and laceration in the crash, police said. He was taken for treatment to Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, New Hampshire.
Police said Bueb was in the passing lane when he lost control of his 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee around 7 a.m. on Friday. Police said there was slush and ice on the road at the time.
The Jeep traveled sideways and exited the roadway off the west side, then continued several hundred feet, rolling over multiple times, before coming to rest against a tree, police said.
The two occupants in the Jeep, which was totaled, were entrapped for approximately an hour before rescue personnel were able to extricate them.
The press release contained few other details about the second occupant of the Jeep but said both occupants were taken to Cottage Hospital for their injuries.
Members of the Woodsville Ambulance, Ryegate Fire Department and Woodsville Fire Department responded as well.
The investigation of the crash is ongoing, police said.
