Quincy,IL : Minor injuries reported in crash at U.S. 24, Einhaus Lane on July, Tuesday 11th 2017

Minor injuries were reported to the drivers involved in a crash Tuesday afternoon just north of Quincy.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department said a 2000 Ford Taurus driven by a 16-year-old girl was heading east on Einhaus Lane about 3:30 p.m. when the girl tried to turn onto U.S. 24 and was struck by a 2004 Ford F-350 driven by Ronald Bricker, 56, of Paloma.

Police said the driver of the Taurus was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. She was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of minor injures. Two other juveniles in the car were treated at the scene and released.

Bricker was taken to the hospital by private vehicle with minor injuries, and a juvenile in the truck was treated at the scene and released.

Assisting were the Tri-Township Fire Department, the Adams County Ambulance Service and the Quincy Police Department.
