Freetown, MA : 53-year-old woman died in a motorcycle crash on Route 140 northbound at the Washburn Street overpass in Freetown Tuesday morning on August 12, 2014

A 53-year-old woman from North Dartmouth died in a motorcycle crash in Freetown Tuesday morning, according to State Police. State police Tuesday night identified her as Donna Marie Vaz. No further information was available. Troopers from the Dartmouth barracks responded to a motorcycle accident at about 10:15 a.m. on Route 140 northbound at the Washburn Street overpass. The driver of a modified 2006 four-wheeled Harley Davidson “lost control and crashed,” police said in a press release. Freetown EMS took the victim to St. Luke's Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The accident is under investigation by Dartmouth State Police and troopers assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office. State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section, State Police Crime Scene Services Section, Freetown Police, Freetown Fire/EMS, and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
