Portland, OR : 60-year-old man dies in a car crash in Northeast Portland on Friday morning, August 5, 2016

A 60-year-old man was killed in a car crash in Northeast Portland on Friday morning, Portland police said.

Two drivers crashed into each other at Northeast 82nd Avenue and Webster Street shortly before 11 a.m., police spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson said in a news release. The man, who has not been identified by authorities, died at the scene from his injuries.

The other driver, a woman in her 30s, was treated at the scene, Simpson said. She did not show any signs of impairment.

Traffic on 82nd Avenue to the Portland International Airport was affected for several hours, Simpson said.

Police are investigating the crash, which is one of two fatal crashes in Portland on Friday. A female cyclist died after being hit by a car at at Southeast 112th Avenue and Mt. Scott Boulevard later Friday. It was the 27th traffic death in Portland this year.

The cyclist also was the second killed in a Southeast Portland crash in less than a week. Another female cyclist died Saturday at 82nd Avenue and Flavel Street after she was hit by a truck.
