ST. LOUIS, MO : 2 dead in separate motorcycle crashes on Saturday, 27th April 2024

Two people died in two separate motorcycle crashes that happened in the St. Louis area on Saturday.

Police say the first crash happened around 2:45 pm. on Highway 61 near Route B in Lincoln County. A 2020 Chevrolet Traverse was going northbound on Highway 61 when a Harley Davidson motorcycle tried to cross the highway.

The Traverse hit the motorcycle, causing the motorcyclist and passenger to be ejected. The passenger, 49-year-old Michele Dezuzio, of Cedar Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcyclist, also from Cedar Hill, was airlifted to a St. Louis-area hospital.

The second crash happened around 5:45 p.m. on Dutch Bottom Road near Christopher Drive, which is in Jefferson County near Arnold. Police say a 2015 Harley Davidson being driven by Nicholas Campbell, 35, did not negotiate a curve in the road. The motorcycle then went off the road, hit a boulder, went airborne, down an embankment and then hit the ground.
