Concord, CA : A bicyclist on a nighttime ride in Concord was killed in a collision on Wednesday, 11th July 2018

A bicyclist on a nighttime ride in Concord was killed in a collision with a vehicle on San Miguel Road near Systron Drive, police said Wednesday.

Concord police received a call from the driver of the vehicle at 12:05 a.m. and responded with medical personnel from the Contra Costa Fire Protection District.

The cyclist, a 60-year-old Concord man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials are not releasing the name of the victim until his next of kin has been notified by the Contra Costa County office of the coroner.
