COLORADO SPRINGS, CO : 1 dead following head-on crash in Colorado Springs along South Academy on Monday, 22nd January 2024

A busy Colorado Springs roadway was closed Monday afternoon for a deadly crash.
Just before 1:30 p.m., the crash was reported at South Academy Boulevard and Jet Wing Drive. The intersection is on the southeast side of the city. According to police at the scene, two vehicles were involved in a head-on crash and one person died. The status of the other person involved was not available, but they were taken to the hospital.
