A good Samaritan was struck and killed by a car on Interstate 95 Sunday evening when she was attempting to help a stranded driver.
Marcasia Crenshaw, 25, of Boynton Beach was helping the driver of a vehicle near Titusville at around 10:30 p.m. Another vehicle driven by 23-year-old Dalton Vancor of Deatsville, Ala. approached the scene.
Traffic reports state that Vancor attempted to brake and swerve left to avoid Crenshaw, who ran toward the grass median.
Crenshaw was struck by the right side of Vancor's vehicle.
Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. No other information was available Monday.
