FELLSMERE, FL : Road worker struck, killed on Interstate 95 on Thursday, January 19th 2017

Authorities say a road worker was killed while working on Interstate 95 in central Florida.

Treasure Coast Newspapers (https://goo.gl/dkdrQF ) reports that the fatal crash occurred early Thursday morning near Fellsmere.

Florida Highway Patrol says a cement truck unrelated to the construction struck the worker. All northbound lanes closed briefly after the crash as rescue crews responded.

It’s the second fatal crash in less than three weeks in the 60 mph construction zone.
