KNOXVILLE, TN : KPD investigating fatal wrong-way crash on Saturday, 27th January 2024

One person is dead after a wrong-way crash on I-640 early Sunday morning, according to the Knoxville Police Department.

KPD said the crash happened around 3 a.m. Police responded to a multi-car crash on I-640 East near Western Avenue. Before the crash, police were notified of a car traveling west in the eastbound lanes.
