Charleston, W.V : Two passengers killed, driver injured in a Logan County crash on Wednesday morning, April 5, 2017

A Pontiac traveling north on W.Va. 10 reportedly drove in front of a utility truck and caused a deadly crash in Rita on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The car drove past a stop sign and crossed paths with a truck owned by Asplundh Company, according to a news release from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash killed two passengers in the Pontiac, and a helicopter transported the driver to Cabell Huntington Hospital, according to the release.

Occupants of the utility truck were unharmed.

Authorities will release the passengers’ names after relatives are notified of their deaths.
