Three high school students have suffered serious injuries after the car they were in struck a culvert and an embankment in southern Jefferson County. Investigators tell that the three Buckeye Local High School students were football players on their way home from practice. The Ohio State Highway Patrol says they are unsure how the driver, Tyler Miller, lost control of his car. It ended up on its roof in the middle of a road. The accident happened around 6 p.m. Monday. Students Logan Barsch and Devon Marques also were injured. The students' conditions weren't immediately known. High School Principal Coy Sudvary issued a statement saying the school community will support the injured students, their families and students "struggling with this difficult news."
